For our next Writing Workshop for Adults, grab a drink and a cozy spot at Novel, Portland's book bar and cafe, while we explore the question: How well do we really know a character? In this workshop, for writers of all levels and genres, we'll look at some of the ways we investigate and develop characters at The Telling Room. Borrowing prompts from writers like Jim Shepard and Bhanu Kapil and sprinkling in some of our own, we'll explore new ways of thinking about the people around us and in our stories.

This workshop is for participants of all levels of experience. Attendees must be 21 or older.
